Review Alerts: The Basics

AMZShark’s Review Alerts tool allows you to keep a close eye on your own products as well as effortlessly track reviews on any product or ASIN. You can even create email alerts when new negative reviews are posted, so that you can react quickly and work with the customer to take them down.

AMZShark lets you filter which reviews you want to track – this way you can only be notified if you receive a review of 3 stars or less, 2 stars or less, etc. Use this on your competitors’ products as well to find out what complaints or praise they are receiving. AMZShark can assemble a .csv file to help you better see trends in your product reviews.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to set up your first Review Alert:

  1. Log into your AMZShark account and click “Review Alerts” on the left-hand side toolbar.
  2. Click the green “Manage Products” to add/delete/update your products.
  3. Click the green “Add New Products” to create a new alert.
  4. Enter the ASIN codes or URLs of whatever products you want to track. One entry per line please.
  5. Select the country it is being sold in and press “Add Review Products” again at the bottom to enter.
  6. You can see all the products you have added beneath the entry field. Click the blue arrow to be taken to the product’s listing page. Click the tix boxes of items you want to erase, then select the red “Delete Selected” button to make more space for other items.
  7. Click "Show Graph" next to each listing to view a line graph of how many reviews that product has gotten each day.
  8. Set up email alerts by clicking the blue “Email Alerts Preferences” at the top of the main page.

Paying attention to your customers’ needs is key to becoming a highly regarded seller on Amazon. Take the guesswork out of your reviews by utilizing this tool.

Bonus Tip: We recommend tracking reviews for your top 5 competitor products and then creating an excel sheet with “Ideas for improvement.” All you need to do is skim the email we send you for any new ideas and jot them down into your sheet and save them. Then use them for when you’re writing copy, addressing unique features, or addressing problems.
